Instructions for switching email client settings from speakeasy.net to 1and1.com
Switching email settings:
The very quick rundown (for advanced users).
New POP3 server: pop.1and1.com
New SMTP server: smtp.1and1.com
New USERNAME: yourfirstname.yourlastname@permabond.com
New Password: Contact your admin.
SMTP Port: 25 or 587
POP3 Port: 110
SMTP server uses authentication, same as POP3 server.
Your email address has not changed, just the mail server supporting your email
Detailed Instructions:
Outlook Users:
Open Outlook, select the Tools menu and choose E-mail Accounts…

Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next>.

Highlight your speakeasy.net mail account in
the accounts list. Most of you will only have one mail
account. Once it’s highlighted, click the Change…
button.

On the following screen change the incoming
mail server to pop.1and1.com and the outgoing mail server to
smtp.1and1.com. Verify that your User Name: is set to your email
address. Your password has changed as described above.

Click the More Settings… button.
 
   
In the Mail Account field, type whatever makes sense to you. One suggestion is to enter your email address.
The Organization field should read your company name.
The Reply E-mail field does not need to be populated. Your email address will be the default.
Click the Outgoing Server tab.

Make sure your settings match the following, then click the Advanced tab.

On the Advanced tab verify your settings as follows, then click OK.

Back at the E-mail accounts screen, click the Test account settings button and hope to see the following:

You may see an “Enter Network
Password” prompt. Enter your email password each
time. One prompt will be for outgoing and one for incoming.
Once you have all green check marks click Close then click
